I shrug and follow Eric out of the graveyard. I return to the bar.

you return to town battered and bruised (except jared lol) upon entering the bar you see tosus drinking some tea while talking to the gnoll while he examines the ring.

I enter the bar first, ahead of the others, and jump right into the conversation with Tosus.

"Hello. I see your friend brought you back the ring I gave him. I assure you that its retrieval was no small feat. In fact, I was the only one conscious througout the ordeal and managed to single-handedly recover the ring. Between you and me, I think I should be rewarded slightly better than the other two, if you understand, even if it's just fifty gold, or a scroll. I trust that you are satisfied with your acquisition?"

tosus ignores you for a minute still admiring the ring he turns to you as if out of a daze "oh yes i watched the whole thing quite and interesting battle i am most impressed yes maybe i could give you of my scrolls i'll have to ponder this. i do have another job if your interested."

"I can assure you that I would be delighted to take up another job, so long as I have more competent teammates. Is there anyone else you could send with us, or substitute into my group? Carrying the team is gratifying, but not feasible. I'm also honored that you have decided to think of a bonus."

tosus pulls out a bag "heres my reward for you guys divide up how you like" he tosses it to you (yes i plan on you sharing. how much though.....) in the bag is 250 gold and a scroll now once the others arrive ill discuss the next mission (every gets 300 exp)

I walk in and see Tosus throwing him the bag. I pull a sleight of hand check and take the bag. "So yea, sharing, because I get my cut too. Besides you only killed 2 of the zombies. I killed the skeleton you know"

you reach for the bag but skrak catches it and bites your hand stealing you chance (yes i rolled)

Hand outstretched, Scrak deposits the bag to its rightful owner.

"I'll keep that in mind as I divy up the spoils. And I'll have you know that I also killed the ghoul carrying the ring, the object of our mission. Where were you again? Oh, that's right, unconscious."

Picking through the bag, I pull out Eric's reward. "Since I killed three times as many enemies, I get three times the reward." I hand Eric 50 gold pieces. "The other fifty are for Morkin." Which leaves me with 150 gp.

I turn to Tosus. "What spell is on this scroll? And what was the next mission you had planned for us?"

"oh the scroll is just a fireball scroll i made and we should prbly wait for the haf orc before i explain the mission i dont like to repeat myself"

I mutter to myself
"Maybe its a kiss *** spell so you can makes yourself look more and more submissive..."
I hope you can figure that one out........

Not hearing Eric, I reply to Tosus:
"That would probably be best. I couldn't imagine that he should take much longer. He was following our masterfully adept pickpocket here."

I arrive in the bar, battered but as optimistic as ever. Walking over toward my party members and Tosus. "I 'pologize fer bein' late. Had t'make a small off'rin' t' Correlon Larethian. Ah figure without 'im, an' our friend th'wizard, 'twould've ben a short mission." I suddenly notice the tension between Eldak and the wizard. "Now, wha's the problem 'ere? We all made it ou' aye?"

"He's just upset that his skill at pickpocketing is sadly subpar. He's now realized that his fighting skills and his 'talent' for thievery are both deceptions. That, and he thinks he should have been paid more."

Walking toward Morkin--"Here, Tosus gave me your share of the money while you were gone. Take it." I give him 50 gold pieces.

"And now," turning toward Tosus again, "I'm ready to hear about that mission you had for us."

"ah yes well ive got two things that need to be done but i only need you guys to do 1 of them. A friend of mine has asked that i send her some help something about animals the other thing is i need the a gem thats located inside a crypt. some people stole the gem from me and managed to get themselves killed inside the crypt and i need that gem back. so its up to you guys which one you want to do ill leave you to talk it over amoungst yourelves im off. ill meet you in the morning." tosus and the gnoll leave.

"I'd rather test myself against the animals. The undead have bored me now. Either way, they're both mindless. I suppose I didn't really care either way. I'll let you two decide."

With that, I leave the bar.

Now I want to try and sell the scimitar and the heavy steel shield. Is there a smithy I can go to?

I also want to make a spellcraft check to determine what type of potion I have. Then, if there is any such place in town, I want to see about buying scrolls, or copying spells from another's spellbook.

(umm jared you do know its like 11 at night right? youl have to wait till the morning to sell)

"god... I really freaking wish that i could kill this guy..." i start to walk out "man tosus, you seem to have a problem losing jewelry" with that i depart, muttering to myself "subpar? Ill show him how subpar he is... Right after i gut him"

In that case I decide to get a room to stay in for the night, leaving my other errands for the morning. (btw tosus already left eric)

Debating whether to approach Eldak whilst angered, I weigh my options, but I have nothing else to do, I know that he, a half-elf, only needs four hours of rest, I have to travel the same direction as him to reach my dwelling-place, and I find a valuable opportunity for some role-pla ... I mean ... team unity building. I go after Eldak. "Nao, th' wizard's not tha' bad, y'know. Other than 'is a'itude" I chuckle a little "anyway, tha' Tosus pays well, doesn' 'e?"

"I suppose we wouldnt know how well he Pays would we? How do we know the wizard didnt just cheat us out of our money?" love the 'team unity building' btw

"Ah dou' 'e'd be take th' better part o' the money fer 'imself. 'e don' strike me th' disshonest type." I suddenly recall that the wizard obstained from voting on the mission, and that the decision is up to us. "So, wha' think ye abou' our next mission? Personally, ah don' like th'idea o' goin' near a crypt, y'know, 'bout defilin' the dead and all, butif their's more o' those unholy dead aroun ..."

"I really dont care what the mission is. Only as long as I get paid. and paid right. Also, how does he NOT strike you as the dishonest?! After we kill the undead, i heard him say 'When I create my slave army, I will definitely not be using skeletons or zombies.' what do you think that means? I think hes plotting something, and I do not intend to become one of his" spitting the word out "slaves."

I hesitate, not having heard that particular line "well ... ah ... well, i' don' matter fer th' momen'. Ah reckon 'e won' be makin' an army o' slaves anytime soon. An, fer now, he's shown tha' we need 'im." I decide to change the subject, realizing that those words were not helpful at all. "Anyway, seems tha' th' mission comes to m'choosin', aye? Well, ah'll be thinkin' bou' tha' t'night. Rest ye well, lad." I awkwardly end the conversation and start to head off my own direction.
