The Actual Rp

Per the usual morning routine, I arise and make a series of prayers to Correlon Larethian. I then get up, don my armor, and start preparing to head off.

Out of sheer boredom from my long watch, I begin to shoot (with my crossbow) at a tree until everyone is done. Murmering to myself about humans

Rising from my intense study, I pocket my spellbook and prepare for the day's trials. I approach the center of the camp and announce, "Since we're all awake, I don't believe that there's any reason for us to linger here. We should be off." I send Scrak to circle high above us again, with the same instructions as always: to alert me if he sees anything suspicious.

scrak alerts verris of something up ahead the circles back and squawks to verris that its a human (hes about 5 to 8 minutes up the road)

Sitting forward in my saddle interestedly, I alert Morkin and Eldak of Scrak's findings. "Something to break up the endless monotony of travel," I sigh. No matter how I may appear to feel though, I am also very wary after slaughter of the guards yesterday. I keep my Mage Armor spell on the tip of my tongue, ready to cast at a moment's notice.

Disregarding yesterday's slaughter for the moment, I approach the idea of a traveler with great interest, hoping for news or possibly information about the town.

Although curious about a traveler alone in these parts. I am not thrilled by the fact that we will be having another human in our midst

You guys see a skinny male crouched over who seems to be petting a squirrel. His clothes are unclean and you can see tears and dirt on it. I stand up warily not liking the fact that you guys are in a group and I'm alone. My eyes dart back and forth between each of you before finally asking, "Can I help you gentlemen...?"

"Well, at this point you're the only one able to answer that question. We know nothing about you. However, if you know what massacred the guards down the road or possess any information regarding mutated wolves in the area, then your presence would be greatly appreciated. Besides that, combat skills are always welcome. So, can you help us gentlemen?"

I step up to greet the traveler, happy to have come across something not immediately hostile.
"pardon m' trav'lin mate, sir. 'es not exactly th' mos' personable. From where d'ye hail?"

I stare at Verris for a while and a smile reaches my lips. "I'm afraid I do not know of the guards you speak of." From the way I stand up straight it looks as if I have something yet to say-possibly something very useful. "Also, you did mention mutated wolves?" I frown, troubled. "If there are mutated wolves on the loose, I feel like it is my job to help." I nod."Lead the way and I will help to the best of my abilities." I turn my head towards Morkin."You don't need to know anything else about me. I promise you, I mean no harm. Also, I am not carrying anything valuable; robbing me would not do you gentlemen very much good."

I cover my mouth in mock surprise. "Really? Do we actually exude a burglar vibe? I had thought we were quite hospitable in greeting you; your suspicion wounds me deeply. However, I, like you, also believe in a state of constant vigilance in order to survive. Tell me, why does the news about the wolves interest you so much?"

skrak sends verris a warning through the empaty link as growls echo from the trees around you as 3 wolves launch out of the bushes heading for verris,morkin, and Sorrin. they seem crazed. there fur is matted with blood possible the same wolves who killed the soilders. (initive order 1:jared 2:wolf 3:james 4:wolf 5:adam 6:wolf 7:eric) (the funny thing is this was all random hahahah )

Stepping back toward the road, I fling an unerring burst of emerald energy toward the closest wolf (Magic Missile). I frantically try to prepare myself for the coming battle. I vow that I will not perish as the foolish soldiers down the street did.

Verris' missle hits the wolf in the shoulder the impact slowed it slightly giving Verris time to dodge to the side as it attempted to bite him.

I wince as I see the missile collide with the enemy wolf. I sigh, crouch down and turn into a wolf snarling fiercely. I dive towards the wolf Verris attacked with a regular 1d6 bite.

Sorrin melds into the form of a wolf launching himself towards the wolf he clamps down on its throat and slams it down on the ground its throat ripped open and neck broken.(you got max dmg..... ) the wolf who was heading for Sorrin continues on course. Sorrin attmepts to skid out of the way mid run but fails as the wolf takes a bite of his shoulder.(2 dmg) (adam your go also im gonna try and say how much you guys take as dmg but usualy not the enemy)

No longer sure which of the wolves in the fray is my ally (or why he is suddenly a wolf), I turn and attack the last wolf with a mighty swing of my Great Axe.

I sit for a second trying to decide which wolf is the enemy. so i take a shot at a random one with my crossbow

the cross bow bolt heads for one of the wolfs heads what would of been a clean shot through the head turns into a miss as the wolf jumps to the side anticpating an attack from the other. which allows the bolt to hit the other wolf. the impact of the bult is heard by all and the wolf barely remains standing. (poor james almost got head shoted)

To knock it fully over, I bash it as hard as possible with mage hand in the head, trying to finish the battle from afar.

the wolf collapses from the blow to the head.

Lowering my arm, I turn back toward the newcomer. "Now, where were we? Ah, yes. I had been commenting on how unpleasantly surprised I was at your ludricous suspicions that we are burglars. I then asked you why the news of augmented wolves surprised you so much. Seeing as how this encounter interrupted our conversation, you never had a chance to answer. You may do so now." I wait expectantly.

"Always th' pers'nal one, aren't ye?" I say, not bothering to conceal the statement. "I'd be more concerned with 'ow he managed t'turn into a wolf."
